    (LORAN technology was completely replaced by GPS. The closure of the Loran-C system in the United States occurred on February 8, 2010. In accordance with the DHS Appropriations Act, the U.S. Coast Guard terminated the transmission of all U.S. LORAN-C signals effective 2000Z 08 Feb 2010. All LORAN-C devices are now unusable and service permanently discontinued.)
