    Meter Gyro Stabilizer Drift Meter by Bendix
    Drift meter presents a focusable ground image much like a bomb site has a cross-hairs reticle.

    A drift meter, also drift indicator & drift sight, is an optical device used to improve dead reckoning for aircraft navigation.
    It consists of a small telescope extended vertically through the bottom of aircraft eyepiece inside the fuselage of the navigators station.
    The B-3 Drift Meter was used on Bombers & transports when ground or water could be clearly seen. It evolved from the earlier gatty drift meters.
    A standard military drift sight through World War II and the early cold war eras.
