FULPER #447 - RAISED FOOTED BOWL -7 1/4" -
1922-1928 - COPPER DUST MIRROR FLAMBE - RARE EUC.
Great condition for this almost 100 yr. old cherished centerpiece bowl.
Condition:
The glaze shows amazing reflectance and the matte center copper glaze is a wonderful contrast.
It has a few minor “as-made” glaze irregularities which appears to be an old well-done glaze defect leveling infill. This is located on a small area on the lower outside area of one foot. This may have occurred due to a small area of glaze drop-out during firing. The area appears to have bare ceramic under the infill.. this does not detract from its anesthetic.
This EGYPTIAN REVIVAL piece from the same era as the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1924 makes it special.
You can even add a flower frog in the middle.
Great example of form and glaze.
This piece is so rare, in this color and condition. But the price has been adjusted much below market.
This piece may contain the usual production elements such as feathering, straw marks, embedded sand, ash, or air bubbles. These are normal conditions in the production process and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. In fact, it adds a uniqueness to each piece.
